Plan For Next Three Years...
Special School for disabled women At Upleta:
To facilitate the education and higher education of the blind and disabled
women, the organization has proposed to set up a special school where free
lodging and boarding will be provided. College going blind girls will also be
provided hostel facilities in this school. The academic needs of these students
are also taken care of at the school.
Establishment of care centers for severely disabled:
To set up Residential care center and day care center at Jetpur and Upleta block
of Rajkot District for the welfare of persons with autism, cerebral palsy,
mental retardation and multiple disabilities.
Computerized Braille production center:
To set up a computerized Braille production center must ensure adequate and
timely supply of text books and other educational and recreational material in
Braille to fulfill the academic needs of the visually impaired students also to
print Braille magazines with a view to promote reading habits among the visually
impaired.
Recording studio for visually impaired students:
To set up recording studio and cassette library to meet the educational
requirements of visually impaired students pursing higher education.
Expansion Of Community Based Rehabilitation:
To reach the unreached disabled people in the Saurashtra region and provide a
range of specialized services and trained them in various skills. For this
purpose organization wants to undertake community based rehabilitation program
at Upleta and Jam-Kandorna block of Rajkot District.
Setting up Vocational Training Center:
To setup vocational training center for the disabled children and train them in
Computer Applications, Stenography, Crafts, Music etc. through which they can
earn some money and live their life independently.
Low - Vision center at Dhoraji:
To setup low-vision centers and assist individuals with Low vision to reach
their maximum potential through medical care and guidance and improvement of
visual efficiency by prescribing optical aids.
